This is one my favourite recent wines, its a real fun, fruity and juicy red from Australia. The name and label are a bit naff in line with a lot of recent Aussie wines but its worth trying.
Its made by Yalumba one of the biggest wineries in Australia based in the Barossa Valley near Adelaide in South Australia. Interestingly they are also one of the few big wineries still family owned.
In my opinion a great drinkable wine to have with or without food. According to the notes its full of strawberries, roses, spice and liquorice with great balance. Cost between €15 to €20. Going to check out some more Tempanillos in the coming weeks.
